Full Description

The solicitation and any resultant contract will be a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277 sec 347. This project is being advertised for full and open competition. This acquisition has been tailored to fit the Governments need for trading goods for services. The Hauns Stewardship Project is located on the Mt. Hough Ranger District, Plumas National Forest. The project area of 189 acres includes commercial thin payment units, comprised of biomass cut skid and deck; road maintenance, and removal of approximately 1,141 CCF of timber. Project Location - The Hauns Stewardship Contract Area is located approximately 25 miles north of Quincy in Plumas County, California; within the Mt. Hough Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest. The legal location is T27N, R9E, Sections 16, 17, 20 AND T27N, R8E Sections 34 and 35 and T26N, R8E Sections 1, 2 and 3. Best access is from roads 27N38 and PC201. The solicitation package will be uploaded approximately May 8, 2017. The date of award is expected to be within 60 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and is subject to change with amendments to the solicitation. A prebid meeting on site will be scheduled during the solicitation period. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
