This amendment serves to answers questions and provides clarifications. All vendors must ensure that they provide certifications for Highway Hauling, Transporter or Storage Facility Certifications and driver credentials. This shall include EPA issued IDs and Facility Permits. Questions and Answers (answers provided in red): 1) Is there average drum and or cubic yard box weights - typically in pounds. We usually ship in 55 gallon drums: weight range is 400-800 pounds. 2) The reference in section E of waste stream used oil <10% is in both drums and gallons. Number 1 says used oil collection bulk - bulk means in tankers.. do we need to provide tanker pricing as well. Yes 3) Do you have estimated volumes or streams in drums and or pounds. No-=this is based on projects and scheduled maintenance-we are a Small Quantity Generator which means we generate less than 2200 lbs per month. 4) Regarding service section do you have a frequency to sample, test, pump out transport and dispose and or recycle hazardous materials etc. as listed. Profiles must be conducted annually; frequency depends on generation 5) What does contractor shall assist mean as it relates to developing and implementing, "waste management activities etc." Contractor will work with OS&H manager to ensure most cost effective methods of handling and disposing of waste; new technologies, different disposal/recycling methods, etc. Vendor will also assist with the Labor to load any shipments-please remember that there is no dock at the Maintenance base but there is a fork truck you can use. 6) Will materials also be shipped in bulk containers. if so we will need to bid tanker rate for stream. Bulk containers may be used but are not our traditional shipping container 7) Section J, Recycling of Batteries. If this is a pallet price, we cannot price pallet. This type of waste is priced per pound . What is the weight of a pallet of batteries? Use that number or please view: http://www.dekabatteries.com/assets/base/1504.pdf 8) Section L, Recycling of Electronic Items. If this is a pallet price, we cannot price pallet. This type of waste is priced per pound. The state of AR has regulations requiring all electronic items to be transported in structural sound containers that can be completely closed and secured. We can provide these containers for e-waste as part of this bid if requested. Please add your eWaste proposal.
