The contract amendment announces the cancellation of the High Explosive Guided Munition (HEGM) Industry Day that was originally planned for September 27-29, 2016. Instead, the Product Manager Guided Precision Munitions and Mortar Systems (PM GPM2S) plans to use the Department of Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) to potentially fund multiple projects under a multi-phase technology development and demonstration program starting in fiscal year 2017. Companies interested in participating must be members of the National Armaments Consortium (NAC) to respond to any future solicitations issued through the DOTC program, and they are encouraged to visit the NAC website for more information. Future solicitations will be posted on the federal business opportunities platform, and any questions regarding the cancellation can be directed to designated points of contact. The contract is linked to solicitation number W15QKN-16-Z-0764 and falls under the NAICS code 541330, indicating engineering services. The contracting office is located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, managed by the Department of Defense. Key contacts for technical questions include Jason Travaille and Kyle Thalmann, while Michael S. Klein serves as the Agreements Specialist. This adjustment reflects a shift from a one-time industry day event to a longer-term, consortium-based approach to fostering advanced munition technology development within the U.S. defense industry.
