Project Title: Helena National Forest - Continental Divide Trail #337 Construction-Bison Segment . The work includes but is not limited to approximately 6 miles of new trail construction. The trail will be constructed to hiker, pack and saddle standards. Tread width will be 30 inches. Clearing and grubbing, excavation, turnpikes, switchbacks, climbing turns, grade reversals and ditching are included in this project. Due to the length of new construction and short work season, machine construction will be a requirement on this project. No pre-bid tour is scheduled. Government estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A firm fixed price contract is expected to result from this solicitation. This project is set-aside for small business. Estimated start work date is July 1, 2009. The solicitation will be issued via FedBizOpps as a request for Request for Quote and will be available for downloading on or about February 20, 2008.
