The U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane is soliciting a sole-source contract for ten helical gears aligned with specific drawings, contract data requirements, and a detailed statement of work under Federal Supply Class 3020 and NAICS code 333612. The action is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1 due to the gear’s existing integration into the government’s system, with Louis Allis identified as the sole qualified source. While other vendors may submit capability statements, the government retains exclusive discretion to proceed without competition, and submissions from other firms are considered only for future competitive evaluation purposes. Vendors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management, and all proposals must be submitted electronically to cassidy.k.shaw.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Time on August 12, 2026. This solicitation, issued under FAR Part 13, bypasses the standard synopsis requirement per FAR 5.202(a)(13), and any amendments or updates will be posted exclusively on sam.gov, which has replaced FBO.gov as the official platform for federal contract opportunities. It is the vendor’s responsibility to monitor sam.gov for revisions, and only those submitting quotes by the deadline will receive post-deadline modifications or be considered for potential award discussions.
