HEMP Door Replacement

THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This announcement constitutes only the pre-solicitation notice; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or around 3 August 2009. Solicitation number FA4600-09-B-0010 is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-23. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990, and the small business size standard is $14 Million; however, no set aside is required for this acquisition. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a period of performance (POP) of 100 days to provide the following service: Provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, material, and other items and services necessary to remove two (2) finger-stock-knife edge High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) doors and two (2) magnetic HEMP doors and replace them with four (4) finger-stock-knife edge HEMP doors in building 500 located on Offutt AFB, NE. Please reference solicitation # FA4600-09-B-0010 on all correspondence. Notice to Offerors, the Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. All contractors shall be ORCA registered http://orca.bpn.gov. All contractors are reminded, in accordance with FARS 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration; contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. If the Offeror does not successfully register in the CCR database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror. NO PARTIAL BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED. NO PARTIAL AWARDS WILL BE MADE. Please acknowledge all requirements of the solicitation in bids.
