Full Description

The US Army Contracting Command-Redstone intends to award on a sole-source basis a commercial, Firm Fixed price (FFP) contract to IPG Photonics Corporation of Oxford, 50 Old Webster Road, Oxford, MA CAGE Code 1KKG9 This acquisition is to deliver a commercial High Energy 100kW laser (HEL) System. The effort will include delivery of the laser system, components and installation to White Sands Missile Range at the High Energy Laser System Test Facility. Delivery is approximately within 12 weeks after receipt of the Government contract. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is The Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 U.S.C. 1901 (or 41 U.S.C. 1903 for Special Emergency Procurement) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.5. A notice of intent to negotiate a sole source action is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is soley within the descretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a response which will be considered. All responses should be directed to Tiffany Moody at tiffany.a.moody.civ@mail.mil and must be received by 26 August 2019 by 2pm CST. All questions must be submitted by 16 August 2019 by 2p CST.
