Hocker Heights Building Demo N. Hocker Terrace

The Independence Housing Authority (IHA) will receive proposals for the Hocker Heights Demolition project at the Independence Housing Authority Offices - located at 4215 S. Hocker Dr., Bldg. 5, Independence, MO 64055, until 10:00 am local time, on September 29nd, 2026. This is not a sealed Invitation to Bid, but rather a Request for Proposals. No public bid opening
The work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Demolition & disposal of 3 buildings
- Removal and disposal of associated paving (sidewalk & asphalt)
- Proper abandonment of service lines.
- Grading & Seeding.
There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time, at the project site, N Hocker Terrace, Independence, MO 64050. It is recommended that all interested parties attend this Pre-Bid Conference to view existing conditions. Any Contractor wishing a detailed visit to the work areas may do so on this date. Non-attendance on the part of a bidder shall not relieve the bidder of any responsibility for adherence to any of the provisions of this bid package or any addenda thereto.

Contracts or work under this bid will obligate the Contractor and Subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. This project is Federally assisted. THE STATE OF MISSOURI AUTHORIZES “THE PURCHASE, WITHOUT SALES TAX, OF TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY TO BE INCORPORATED OR CONSUMED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT IDENTIFIED HEREIN AND NO OTHER, PURSUANT TO SECTION 144.062 RSMO.”
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Performance and Payment Bond from a U.S. Government-approved surety, authorized to do business in the State of Missouri, per Treasury Department Circular 570, current revision, as well as evidence of current personal injury, property liability, workmen’s compensation, and builder’s risk insurance.
