Award was made pursuant to an exception to the fair opportunity process. A task order has been issued under a multiple award IDIQ Contract No. HSCG47-10-D-3EFK15 to satisfy a minimum guarantee. The Government issued a sole source task order under Contract No. HSCG47-10-D-3EFK15. The requirement was to Design and Construct a Fast Response Cutter (FRC) Support Facility at U.S. Coast Guard Base Support Unit, Miami, FL. It included but was not limited to demolition, site development, storm water management, parking, underground utilities, paving, sidewalks, fire protection, telecommunications, construction of a new two-story FRC support facility, renovation of building 7, furniture outfitting of FRC support facility, sustainable design, and force protection. Contract No. HSCG47-10-D-3EFK15, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Design Build National Multiple Award Construction Contract, was awarded to Bluescope Construction, Inc. 1540 Genessee Street, Kansas City, MO 64102 on May 5, 2010 with a guaranteed minimum of $25,000.00. In accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(1), the Contracting Officer must provide each awardee under multiple award contracts a fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding $3,000.00, except for statutory exceptions to the fair opportunity process.
