NOT BE INTENTIONALLY ADDED TO<(>,<)> OR COME IN DIRECT
CONTACT WITH<(>,<)> ANY HARDWARE OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED
UNDER THIS CONTRACT. EXCEPTION: FUNCTIONAL MERCURY
USED IN BATTERIES, FLUORESCENT LIGHTS, REQUIRED
INSTRUMENTS; SENSORS OR CONTROLS; WEAPON SYSTEMS;
AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REAGENTS SPECIFIED BY NAVSEA.
PORTABLE FLUORESCENT LAMPS AND PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS
CONTAINING MERCURY SHALL BE SHOCK PROOF AND CONTAIN
A SECOND BOUNDARY OF CONTAINMENT OF THE MERCURY OR
MERCURY COMPOUND. (IAW NAVSEA 5100-003D).
Shelf-life Additional Requirements
SHELF-LIFE MARKINGS REQUIRED PER 5.2.1 OF MIL-STD-129: SHELF-LIFE MARKINGS SHALL BE SHOWN AS PART OF THE ITEM IDENTIFICATION DATA ON UNIT PACKS, INTERMEDIATE CONTAINERS, EXTERIOR CONTAINERS, AND UNPACKED ITEMS. SHELF-LIFE MARKINGS SHALL INCLUDE THE MANUFACTURED, CURED, ASSEMBLED OR PACKED DATE (APPLY ONE DATE), AND THE EXPIRATION OR INSPECT/TEST DATE, AS APPROPRIATE.
RS026: Shelf-life requirement RS001 for a TYPE I (CODE U) item with a shelf life of 96 months (non-extendable) applies to this item.
