The City of Santa Maria (“City”) invites qualified firms to submit a Proposal to provide Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Services at the City’s permanent household hazardous waste collection facility (PHHWCF), including all labor and supplies necessary for the collection, manifesting, transportation, and proper recycling/disposal of hazardous waste materials. Materials received at the facility are generated by regional households, very small quantity generators (VSQGs) (formerly Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQGs)), various City Departments, and are diverted to the site through the load-checking program at the Santa Maria Regional Landfill (SMRL).
