This synopsis is for the RFQ of maintenance services for an American Science and Engineering, Incorporated (AS&E) Z Backscatter Van (ZBV) X-Ray Inspection System operated by the Federal Protective Services (FPS). The X-Ray Inspection System is used to process vehicles traveling to federal facilities in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. ZBV systems require regular maintenance services to sustain its operation and availability for use by the Federal Protective Service (FPS). This effort must provide the necessary personnel, transportation, replacement parts & support to ensure proper reliability and availability of the ZBV system. This effort will consist of one (1), 12 month base period with four (4), one year option periods. The vendor must provide all labor, services, parts, supplies, packaging, and shipment of items necessary to check the overall functional operation of the ZBV system and to accomplish the scheduled maintenance tasks required.
