This is a solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 36. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of the HVAC system in the Resource Manager's Office at Stonewall Jackson Lake, Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia. Work includes the removal and replacement of the R-22 air handler unit and the corresponding outdoor heat pump condensing unit. The new system shall be an air-cooled, split system which employs a remote heat pump, a separate indorr unit with auxiliary electric heat, and interconnecting refrigerant piping. Removal of indoor air handler and outdoor heat pump will include all necessary duct work to adapt new air handler unit to existing duct work, installation of sub-base for air handler (if required), installation of new indoor evaporator coil, new refrigerant lines with R-410A refrigerant, installation of new digital programmable thermostat, new wiring from outdoor disconnect switch to new outdoor heat pump, and all electrical/electronic controls necessary to complete the installation of the system. The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, etc. necessary to complete the work as outlined in the specifications. The magnitude of this project is less than $25,000. This procurement is a firm fixed price, 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. The period of performance to complete all work will be 120 days after the contractor receives a Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), therefore, requests for hardcopies of thei solicitation will not be honored. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor in the FBO.gov website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible for providing notification of changes to the solicitation.
