Scope: The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required in the specifications and contract documents, for the following project: for “Hydration Station Upgrade – Various Sites – FD528 – CC8125 - Project Worktag: 71073.”
The City of Pomona (City) is seeking a licensed and bonded Class A or C-34 contractor (Contractor) to replace seven (7) drinking fountains. Exhibit A is a summary of the locations and description of work. Exhibit B is a map of the proposed drinking fountain installation locations. Exhibit C identifies the drinking fountain installation detail and manufacturer’s installation instructions. This project includes replacement/installation of drinking fountains with bottle fillers at City of Pomona owned public sites. The proposed Murdock Model GYQ84 or GYM74 drinking fountain material shall be provided and installed by the Contractor. These drinking fountains shall be compliant with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) construction for full access. These drinking fountains shall have construction compliance with the most current version of the California Building and Plumbing Codes (CBC), the City of Pomona Departments of Development Services, Public Works, and Water Resources standards. The new installation at Westmont Park shall include the installation of backflow preventer and a new drinking fountain which includes a new water connection from the meter location at Wright Street.
Notes: BID GUARANTY: Each bid must be accompanied by cash or by a cashier's or certified check or by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid price payable to the City of Pomona as a guarantee that the bidder, if their bid is accepted, shall promptly execute the contract, secure payment of workman's compensation insurance and furnish all required bonds, as identified herein. If submitting cash, cashier’s or certified check, it must be delivered to the Public Works Department by the bid closing time. If submitting a bid bond, a copy must be attached as part of your proposal in Planet Bids. If the proposer is using a bid bond, please submit it in File 1 of your response (pg. 10).
