Full Description

The purpose of this contract is to have the contractor furnish all labor, equipment, fuel, oil, transportation and supplies to perform wildlife habitat improvement work on approximately 100 acres on the Cordova Ranger District of the Chugach National Forest. It is anticipated that at approximately 100 acres will be cut within two units: the 22 Mile Unit and the North Landfill Unit. The approximate acreage of the 22 Mile unit is 87 acres and the North Landfill Unit is 36 acres. The exact acreage to be cut from these polygons will be determined by the contracting officer and is dependent on accessibility and buffers around fish and wildlife habitat areas. Access to this unit may require crossing of anadromous streams for which permits will be required. The period of performance for performing this work will be from December 01, 2013 through April 30, 2015. Activities may occur only from December 01 through April of each year. The request for proposal solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps, on or about July 12, 2013. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from FBO. The proposed response date will be July 31, 2013. This project is a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 115310.
