Hydrological Modeling & RiverWare Software Integration

The contract seeks to update and calibrate the RiverWare hydrological model using current data to improve its accuracy in simulating water supply dynamics within the California water system. This work includes refining model parameters based on the latest hydrologic, climatic, and infrastructure conditions to ensure reliable predictions under varying stress scenarios. Additionally, the contractor will develop and analyze a suite of future scenario evaluations to quantify how changes in water availability and management strategies affect supply resilience. These scenarios will integrate projections of reduced snowpack, shifted precipitation patterns, and operational adjustments to reservoirs and conveyance systems. The goal is to provide decision-makers with actionable insights into system vulnerabilities and adaptive pathways for maintaining sustainable water supplies under uncertainty.
