AI Contract Overview
This contract involves the procurement of patient hygiene kits, each unit consisting of a box of 12 kits. The packaging requirements mandate commercial-grade materials, ensuring each kit is sealed in a protective container to prevent damage or breakage during transit. These units must then be placed in suitable commercial exterior shipping containers, which meet export standards if necessary, to guarantee safe delivery at the lowest possible shipping costs. All materials must be marked in accordance with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding previous military standards, with technical and quality requirements detailed in the DLA Master List as applicable. The solicitation is issued by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain FSH with a designated point of contact for inquiries. The contract specifies a National Stock Number (6530-01-621-4282) with a required quantity of three boxes, each containing 12 kits, and a delivery timeline of five days after order acceptance. Bidders are required to specify the source and part number for the items they propose to supply. The acquisition adheres to specific defense and packaging standards, including provisions for removal of government identification from rejected supplies and potential coverage under protected defense information requirements. The place of performance is in San Antonio, and the solicitation response deadline is set within a week of the posting date.
