Hynes Floor Boxes U14

The project involves the modernization of twelve combination electrical and communications floor boxes located on Level 3 of the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Work scope includes safely de-energizing and disconnecting existing electrical circuits, followed by selective demolition of the current floor boxes along with associated plumbing components such as floor drain bodies, traps, branch drain lines, and vent piping. All abandoned connections are to be properly capped and sealed in accordance with industry standards to ensure safety and compliance. The project is solicited under reference BD-27-1208-MCCA1-MCCA1-131740 by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, with responses due by August 26, 2026. The work is to be performed on-site at Summer Street, Boston, 02210, and is being managed by Purchaser Stephen Gentile. This initiative is part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades to enhance functionality and code compliance within the facility’s event spaces.
