I-15 CAPM

Caltrans District 8 is proposing the I-15 CAPM project to rehabilitate a section of Interstate 15 in southwestern Riverside County, specifically within the cities of Temecula and Murrieta. The project limits extend from Postmile 3.0 to 8.1, spanning from 0.4 miles south of the I-15/State Route 79 Separation to 1.5 miles north of the Winchester Road Interchange. The primary objectives are to extend the service life of the existing pavement, improve ride quality, and bring traffic safety systems up to current standards to address deficiencies such as distressed pavement and nonstandard guardrails. The scope of work includes cold planing and overlay, performing localized dig outs, and upgrading Metal Beam Guard Rail to Midwest Guardrail Systems, including end treatments and vegetation control. Additionally, the project involves upgrading Transportation Management System elements and replacing one crash cushion. This project is classified under NAICS code 237310 and is designated as a forecast with a Notice of Exemption filed under Class 1(d) for minor alterations to existing public structures.
