The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes repairing and replacing culverts on Interstate (I-) 280 in San Mateo County from post mile (PM) R14.22 to R14.25. New drainage inlets (Dis) will also be added to alleviate flooding. Construction equipment may include, but not be limited to, sawcut machines, excavators, backhoes, compactors, pavers, and trucks. Some project elements will occur off the paved roadway. Clearing and grubbing and removal or trimming of some small shrubs is required for construction activities. Culvert repair and replacement will involve trenching.
