I-605 Valley Blvd Interchange Improvement Project IS/EA

Caltrans District 7 in Los Angeles is preparing to execute significant improvements to the I-605 and Valley Boulevard interchange, targeting the stretch from postmile R18.9 to R19.5. The project involves comprehensive reconfiguration, widening, and modification of freeway on- and off-ramps to enhance traffic flow and safety, alongside upgrades to Valley Boulevard and Temple Avenue. New traffic signals will be installed, and ADA compliance enhancements will be implemented to ensure accessibility for all users. Additional improvements include dedicated bike lanes and pedestrian enhancements to support non-motorized transportation and improve connectivity in the surrounding community. The initiative is part of a broader environmental and infrastructure planning effort, with the project’s environmental review documented under the CEQA process.
