IFB 2026-078 IFB Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%:

Union County, North Carolina, through Union County Water, is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite 12% Trade / 10% Weight for the Yadkin River Water Treatment Plant. This procurement follows a multi-step competitive sealed bid process pursuant to N.C.G.S. 129.9. Phase 1 requires the submission of unpriced technical, qualification, and compliance materials, including a Certificate of Analysis and Product Specifications, due by 9:00 AM local time on October 6, 2026. Qualified bidders who are deemed responsive and responsible will then be invited to Phase 2, where pricing will be determined through a live reverse auction hosted on the eBridge platform. The County intends to award a single contract to one supplier, although it reserves the right to award by line item. The selected contractor must provide the chemical in full tanker loads of approximately 4,000 to 5,000 gallons, delivered FOB destination within five workdays of receiving an order. Deliveries must occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM using specially equipped tank trucks with functional pressure gauges and secure hoses. The product must meet ANSI/AWWA B300-99 specifications and be NSF International certified for potable water use. Awarded vendors are responsible for an eBridge transaction fee and must comply with hazardous materials labeling under North Carolina General Statute 95-174 or Title 15 U.S.C. 1261.
