IFB 2026-B10 Shadow Creek, Black Forest Road - Remove and Replace Hot Mix

Hays County is soliciting bids through Invitation for Bid IFB2026-B10 for the removal of existing six-inch hot mix pavement and replacement with a four-inch layer of Type B Hot Mix and a two-inch overlay of Type D Hot Mix on Black Forest Road in the Shadow Creek Subdivision, located in Texas. The work scope includes milling to a six-inch depth, proper base preparation, paving with specified asphalt types in accordance with TxDOT Special Specifications 3076 and 3077, and placement of a trail tack coat prior to the Type D overlay. The contractor is responsible for all logistics including utility locates, repairs, trucking, dumpsite management, and provision of QA/QC samples and cores daily. This is a turn-key unit price contract priced per square yard, with approximately 2,500 square yards each for the Type B base and Type D overlay, totaling an estimated 5,000 square yards. Payment will be made based on completed square yards, and all pricing must exclude federal excise and state sales tax due to the county’s tax-exempt status. The solicitation requires strict adherence to submission protocols, including electronic filing through BidNet Direct with a hard copy delivered within 24 hours, or manual submission with one original and one digital copy on a thumb drive, all sealed and labeled with the solicitation number and bidder name.
