AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the sale of used pole mount transformers located at Selfridge ANGB, Michigan, under solicitation number 33-6028, issued by the Department of Defense's DLA Disposition Services Headquarters. These transformers are classified as non-PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) according to federal regulation 40 CFR 761, as testing either shows PCB levels below 50 ppm or manufacturing data plates indicate non-PCB status. Importantly, purchasers are restricted from using destinations with stricter PCB regulations, such as California, Oregon, and Washington, unless the transformers meet those states' lower PCB thresholds (less than 5 ppm). This contract is a sale of surplus property and explicitly does not cover any service or maintenance. The solicitation was posted on May 6, 2026, with a response deadline of June 3, 2026. The sale is managed through the DLA Disposition Services office based in Battle Creek, Michigan, with primary and secondary points of contact provided for potential bidders. The contract emphasizes compliance with both federal and state regulations regarding PCB content, ensuring purchasers understand the limitations on use and destination for these transformers. This opportunity allows interested parties to acquire surplus military-owned transformers under defined environmental compliance conditions.
