Full Description

The work shall consist of, but not limited to, providing all labor, materials, transportation and performing all work necessary for improvements to Family Housing, 511 Military Family Housing units at Camp Courtney (1 unit), Terrace Heights (70 units), Kadena Heights (124 units), Marek Park (228 units) and Bazley Tower (2 towers, 88 units total), Okinawa, Japan. Options include: Option 1 - provide covered parking structures in various MFH locations; Option 2 - replace back covered patio at the Camp Courtney unit; Option 3 - utility infrastructure upgrades in various neighborhoods; Option 4 - provide curb cuts to existing sidewalks, new trails and paths in various neighborhoods; and Option 5 - replace existing telephone service cabinet and associated home run conduits to each unit in various neighborhoods. The solicitation for this project is expected to be issued approximately Jun - Jul 08. The date, time, and meeting place for the site investigation will be identified in the solicitation. Personnel desiring to participate in the site investigation are required to utilize the government provided bus which 18th Contracting Squadron will arrange. No private vehicle will be allowed regardless of possession of base passes for other projects occurring on Kadena Air Base. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract specifications and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Magnitude of this project is 2,833,250,000 Japanese Yen ($25,000,000) to 11,333,000,000 Japanese Yen ($100,000,000) in accourdance with DFARS 236.204.
