Full Description

Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, and utilizing FAR Part 12 the U.S. Army RDECOM - Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ceredyne 3169 Redhill Ave.,Costa Mesa, CA 92626 for an immediate requirement to field 140 plates of Improved Tactical Swimmer Stand Alone Ballistic Plates. The material package formulated by Ceredyne is the only known configuration that has undergone ballistic testing and has been shown to meeting the performance requirements of the user group. Due to the proprietary nature of the material package, Ceredyne is the only contractor able to produce these items and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy.
