Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Overview The Iowa DOT is looking for competitive bids for the removal of an existing chair lift platform and replacing it with a new inclined lift for a turning stairwell at the Ames Maintenance Garage as per the attached specifications. Iowa DOT will keep and use the existing rails and motor controls. Work to be done M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm CST. Contractor must train IDOT personnel on operation of the lift system. Required 1 year construction warranty and 2 year manufacturer warranty.
