This contract, issued by the Department of Defense via W6QM Micc-Ft Drum, seeks the procurement of a new Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry system comparable to the Agilent 5800. The required instrument must be a benchtop, simultaneous reading system featuring a solid state detector, a dual view vertical plasma, and the ability to process both aqueous and organic matrices. Key technical specifications include a purged and thermostated optical enclosure, a solid state RF generator, and mass flow controllers for all plasma gases. The system must be compatible with Windows 11 and include software capable of automated background correction and comprehensive quality control. Additional mandatory requirements include a sample introduction system compatible with hydrofluoric acid, a separate remotely placeable water chiller, and an autosampler with at least 180 sample positions. The instrument must meet all EPA detection limits and demonstrate the ability to analyze certified metal standards within a 10 percent accuracy range for various alloys. This is a total small business set-aside procurement that prohibits the use of refurbished or demo units and requires a one-year warranty covering parts, labor, and travel.
