Infrastructure - Invitation to Bid - EDMONTON – KINGSWAY AVENUE BUILDING Hydraulic Passenger Elevator Complete Upgrade

The contract involves significant security and infrastructure upgrades for the building located at 11150 Kingsway Avenue, Alberta. It requires modifications to the existing access control system to enhance overall security. This includes installing a new CCTV system with cameras and recorders, as well as adding lock guards and astragals on secure doors throughout the facility. The contractor will replace existing security cameras, integrate new ones including the necessary infrastructure and system head end, and upgrade door hardware on compromised entry points. In addition to security improvements, the contract also encompasses a complete modernization of the building’s hydraulic passenger elevators servicing two floors. The scope includes upgrading elevator equipment such as controllers, motors, dispatch equipment, and security components. Elevator cabin renovations will cover replacements and enhancements to the floor, walls, ceilings, lighting, operating panels, controls, and ventilation. All electrical and fire alarm systems related to the elevators, including those in the elevator shafts, must be brought up to current codes and standards to ensure safety and compliance. The solicitation is managed by the Government of Canada’s Infrastructure office, with responses due by May 14, 2026.
