The contract involves comprehensive restoration work at Poundmaker’s Lodge Treatment Centre in Alberta, specifically targeting the West Dorm Wing, Main Central Hall and Ceremonial Area, East Entrance, hallways, staircase, and gymnasium. The scope is guided by a remedial plan provided by WSP, a third-party environmental consultant retained by Alberta Infrastructure. Upon completion of restoration and cleaning activities by the contractor, WSP will conduct a post-cleanup inspection, including testing to verify that contamination levels meet established clearance standards suitable for tenant re-occupancy. These standards specify that fire particle presence should not exceed typical upper background levels or, ideally, typical low background levels. The contractor is responsible for any required re-cleaning or additional testing if the initial post-cleanup results are unsatisfactory. The contract was solicited by the Government of Canada’s Infrastructure agency, with a solicitation number AB-2026-00190, posted on January 9, 2026, and with responses due by February 3, 2026. The contracting authority for management and communication during the bidding process is Chi Ezejiofor. This engagement ensures that the facility is restored to safe, environmentally sound conditions before being reoccupied.
