Renovation to exterior sidewalks, exterior sunken courtyard, interior atrium courtyard and stair railing at the Whitecourt Provincial Building located in Whitecourt, AB as indicated on the Drawings. Exterior Sidewalks • Remove existing sidewalk sections as identified on the drawings. • Prepare subgrade and provide new concrete sidewalks to meet specified grades, finishes, and accessibility requirements. Interior Atrium • Remove existing concrete surfaces, planters, and stair railings as identified. • Perform demolition in accordance with safety and protection measures for adjacent finishes and structural components. • Provide new work per architectural and structural drawings, which may include: o Concrete slab infills or modifications. o Architectural finishes and detailing. o Replacement or relocation of stair railings as designed. General Requirements • All demolition and new construction to comply with applicable building codes and standards. • Protect existing building systems, finishes, and occupied areas from damage during construction. • Coordinate work sequencing to minimize disruption to facility operations. • Provide temporary barriers, signage, and safety measures as required. • All work shall be executed per the construction documents, including architectural and structural drawings, and as directed by the Consultant. 1 As part of its Proposal, each Proponent must include a valid bid bond in the manner set out below: a) Provide bid security in the form of an electronic bid bond in an amount not less than 10% of the bid price. b) Proposals not accompanied by an acceptable electronic bid bond as bid security will be rejected as non-compliant. c) The bid bond shall be submitted in its original digital format and made out to His Majesty the King in right of Alberta, as represented by the Minister of Infrastructure and shall be executed, sealed and dated by both the Proponent and a surety company authorized to transact business of suretyship in the Province of Alberta.
