Inner Perimeter Road Water Lines

The City of Valdosta, Georgia, is soliciting bids for a unit price contract to install approximately 6.49 miles of water main along Inner Perimeter Road and South Patterson Street. The scope of work includes the installation of 24,693 linear feet of PVC water line via excavation, 7,400 linear feet of fusible PVC via directional bore, 2,162 linear feet of ductile iron water line, and 1,436 linear feet of steel casing via jack and bore. Additional requirements include the installation of 28 fire hydrants and 22 gate valves, as well as pavement removal and replacement, storm water monitoring, and soil erosion and sediment control. Bids must be submitted by 2:30 PM on October 22, 2026, to the Office of the City Engineer. To be considered responsive, submissions must include a signed and notarized non collusive affidavit, a Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance affidavit, and a bid bond or certified check for at least 5 percent of the bid amount. The project has a substantial completion timeline of 270 calendar days and a final completion timeline of 300 calendar days. Award will be granted to a responsible and responsive bidder, with payments issued monthly based on actual quantities of work measured against an approved schedule of values. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the contract price are required for bids exceeding 25,000 dollars.
