Full Description

The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, materials, tools and equipment, transportation, supervision and all operations identified in the specifications for Project No. ZNRE 13-4378, Install Patio Covering, 69 Military Family Housing (MFH) Units, West Area, Yokota Air Base, Japan. The following scope of work is expressed in general terms and in no way limits the Contractor's responsibility. Perform all work indicated in the specifications or accompanying drawings, which will be included in the IFB package. The contractor is required to provide a complete and usable facility within the terms and conditions of this contract. The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to: (1) Provide scaffolding with safety net and securing job site. (2) Abate asbestos containing material for drilling work of expansion anchor bolts on "walls" for buildings (3) Repair existing damages to building's exterior before installing awnings. (4) Install awnings (steel structure frames and polycarbonate plates). (5) Paint steel structure frames (factory color finish) and bolts. (6) Install aluminum flashings and other necessary items. (7) Remove existing quarry tiles with mortar finish and apply non-shrinkage mortar for base plates of steel column. (8) Install sealant for polycarbonate roof flashing, base columns and other necessary places. (9) Provide other associated temporary work as necessary. Perform necessary repair, repaint and protection to address damage to facilities resulting from negligence. The magnitude of this project is expected between Y25,985,975($250,000.00) and Y51,971,950 ($500,000), in accordance with FAR 36.204 (d), which means the Government's Cost Estimate falls in this magnitude. Selection will be based upon evaluation factors which will be stipulated on the IFB package. Site orientation will be held on 31 Jul 14, from 0900 hours at Bldg 620 at Yokota Air Base, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate in the site orientation. Please contact the Point of Contact (POC) below and receive the IFB documents prior to the date of the site orientation. The whole package will not be posted on the FedBizOpps. If you need to attend the site visit, please make an appointment with the POC. You must bring the proper identification (valid passport or driver's lisence with 8 digits password). For the vehicle pass, please make sure you bring the proper original insurance docuemnts. Failure to provide the proper documentation may cause you not be able to enter the base.
