AI Contract Overview
Brunswick County is seeking informal bids from qualified contractors to install approximately 20 linear feet of 6-inch PVC C900 waterline beneath an existing building wall at 235 Grey Water Road, Supply, NC. The project involves using horizontal directional drilling or bore and jack techniques to pass the line through a concrete foundation wall, which is approximately 12 inches thick, and into a below-grade dry well at a depth of around six feet. The installation requires coring through the foundation and sealing the penetration with approved wall seals such as LINK-SEAL® or Pipetite® to prevent water intrusion and preserve structural integrity. The waterline may be installed within a steel casing pipe or as HDPE without casing, provided the sealing system is approved by the County. On the exterior, the contractor will connect the new pipe to existing infrastructure using a mechanical sleeve, then backfill, compact, and restore all disturbed surfaces to their original or better condition, following Brunswick County’s technical standards. The solicitation emphasizes compliance with detailed technical specifications and standard details, with any modifications to scope or materials communicated via addenda. The project schedule requires commencement within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed and completion within 60 days. The contract value is estimated between $15,000 and $30,000, with the bidding process opening on October 20, 2025, and closing on October 23, 2025. Bidders must ensure they have all relevant addenda and adhere to licensing and legal requirements. Additional bid details and updates are available on the Brunswick County website.
