Installation of Fencing at Nicholson Playground

The Jefferson Parish Government of Louisiana is soliciting bids for the installation of fencing at Nicholson Playground, located at 7101 11th Street, Marrero, LA 70072. The project requires the provision of all labor, materials, and equipment to install 102 linear feet of 12-foot high 9 gauge galvanized chain link fence with knuckle to knuckle selvage, as well as two 4-foot wide by 7-foot high chain link single swing gates. All posts and rails must be constructed from CQ40 steel. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with a strict requirement that the apparent low bidder provide final insurance certificates complying with Jefferson Parish Resolutions No. 136353 or No. 141125 within ten calendar days of the bid opening. Work must be substantially completed within 30 consecutive calendar days following the issuance of a written Notice to Proceed and the completion of a pre-construction conference. Performance is restricted to normal building hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and must be scheduled five days in advance with the owner's representative. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits from the Jefferson Parish Department of Inspection and Code Enforcement and must maintain a clean site, removing all inflammable materials and debris daily. Final payment is contingent upon the submission and approval of a Certificate of Final Inspection by the Recreation Department.
