Installing Bus Shelters

The Jefferson Parish Government, through the Department of Transit Administration, is soliciting bids for the transportation and installation of fifteen bus shelters at designated sites along Route E-1 (Veterans Boulevard) and Route E-2 (Airline Highway). The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to secure the shelters to existing concrete pads or approved foundations and to install associated solar panels, batteries, and lighting systems. All work must adhere to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards, with final acceptance contingent upon an inspection by Jefferson Parish Transit to ensure all deficiencies are corrected at no additional cost. Bidders must provide an estimated completion date and submit a bid guaranty equal to 5% of the bid price, which remains valid for 90 days. Awardees are required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract value and must be properly licensed to perform work in Louisiana. The contract mandates strict compliance with federal regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act for prevailing wages, Buy America requirements for steel and manufactured products, and various civil rights and accessibility laws such as the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Required submissions include a non-collusion form, Buy America certification, and debarment/suspension certifications.
