The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (¿BOR¿) as ¿Owner¿, on behalf of University of Georgia (¿UGA¿ or the ¿University¿), ¿User¿ is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from Contractors interested in providing public works trades contractor services for a project known as Project No. 184045363, ¿Insulation Services for Various UGA Campus Locations¿ at the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia. FMD Operations & Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the performance of all piping systems on campus. These piping systems are critical to campus classrooms, research, and administrative spaces. The piping systems are located throughout the entire campus in steam pits, buried underground, and in 300 plus buildings and mechanical room spaces within those buildings. The volume of work associated with keeping these lines properly insulated to prevent leakage is too great for the UGA-FMD O&M shop to support. FMD O&M personnel will make their best effort to provide ample lead-time for scheduling of these jobs, however; there will be multiple instances when due to the nature of the work short notice is required. A pre-bid meeting will be conducted by the Owner, and attendance of finalist firms is mandatory. Details are provided on the Prerequisites tab. The University of Georgia will select several qualified firms from the response submittals, request additional regarding project team composition, conduct interviews, rank the finalists, and begin contract discussions with the selected firm(s).
