AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of electrical insulation sleeving identified by part number M23053/8-009-C and NSN 5970002238318, with a unit of issue defined as one length (LG) equaling four feet. The total quantity ordered is four lengths, with a delivery requirement of 81 days FOB origin and zero variance allowed in quantity. The item is classified as a critical application item with a shelf life of 60 months, extendable, and must be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129 using special marking code 33 for Type II shelf life identification. Packaging must conform to MIL-STD-2073-1E and DLA’s packaging requirements, with palletization and intermediate containment following specified codes and standards. The product is subject to strict compliance with technical and quality requirements referenced through R-numbers, including cybersecurity maturity model certification Level 2 self-assessment, and must not contain intentionally added mercury or mercury compounds except under narrow exemptions for specific functional uses, with secondary containment required for any permitted exceptions. The item is governed by industry standards including SAE AS23053/8 Revision A and requires adherence to qualified products list (QPL) or qualified manufacturers list (QML) qualifications as defined in procurement note H02. Sampling and inspection protocols follow MIL-STD-1916 or comparable zero-based plans with verification levels or AQLs assigned to critical, major, and minor attributes, where unspecified attributes are treated as major. Acceptance is conditioned on zero non-conformances unless otherwise stated, and inspection and acceptance occur at the destination. The contract mandates compliance with all DLA master-listed technical and quality requirements, and while hazardous material indicators show no hazard classification, a safety data sheet review is not required. The solicitation, issued under SPE4A6-26-T-08HJ by the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division, was posted on July 21, 2026, with responses due by July 29, 2026, and performance location specified at Hill AFB, Utah.
