Full Description

Contractor: Impact Instrumentation. Approximate Value: Under $400,000. The Government hereby issues its notice of intent to sole source to Impact Instrumentation for the purchase of Preventive Maintenance services for the 269 ventilators and 206 suction units in the ASPR comprehensive inventory. It is also determined that Impact Instrumentation is the only source that can provide the requested services due to the manufacturer's requirement that service be provided only by Impact for their government and military customers. A letter stating this requirement is attached. This Notice of Intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the Government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror's ability to meet all requirements. The Government will consider all responses prior to 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This purchase will be under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items (FAR 13.5) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1.
