The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to the University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous, 1475 NW Miami, FL 33101, on a sole source basis, for histopathology and statistical analysis on provided specimens. This is for the continuation of current on going research project. Competing this requirement and awarding to any other source would result in substantial delays and disruption of a project already in progress and would also increase t he overall cost to the Government. There is no solicitation number, for reference use PR Number W74SQZ7319N159. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source a nd no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Governments requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, the purcha se will be awarded without further notice.
