PS- RFP for ADHP Educational Director for the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners

The Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama is soliciting proposals for a qualified dental instructor to serve as the Educational Director for the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program (ADHP). The selected subject matter expert will be responsible for administering an accelerated certification program that integrates formal classroom education with clinical application, specifically presiding over course orientations and graduations and developing supplemental teaching materials. The resulting contract is for a one-year term with the possibility of four additional renewals. Compensation is structured as an annual base payment of 30,000 dollars, with an additional allowance for hourly services up to 12,000 dollars at a rate of 150 dollars per hour, and up to 2,000 dollars for mileage and per diem. The board may increase yearly compensation by up to 5 percent upon renewal without resoliciting. Proposals must be submitted via Alabama Buys by November 10, 2026, at 4:30 PM CT, with any questions submitted by October 30, 2026. Evaluation is based on a 100-point system focusing on supplier qualifications and program leadership (35 points), post-secondary teaching experience (25 points), methodology and training materials (20 points), ADHP experience (10 points), and proposed cost (10 points). Award is limited to a single supplier.
