Intent to Sole Source - Announcement only Allied/ Republic Refuse & Recycle rem

The Bureau of Reclamation plans to enter into a sole source contract with Allied Waste Services of Page, Inc., operating as Republic Services in Page, Arizona, for refuse and recycling removal at the Glen Canyon Dam Field Division. The contract will include a base year running from September 1, 2016, to August 31, 2017, with the possibility of four one-year option extensions through August 31, 2021. This selection is based on the fact that the City of Page already contracts with Allied Waste for collection and disposal services, making Allied Waste the sole known provider capable of meeting the refuse and recycling needs at the Glen Canyon facilities. Interested firms that believe they can fulfill these requirements are invited to submit a capability statement by close of business on August 10, 2016, for consideration; however, the Contracting Officer retains the discretion to make the final source selection in the best interest of the Government. The contract is associated with NAICS code 562111 and will be managed through the Denver Federal Center under the Department of the Interior. This sole source award process follows FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and reflects the agency’s intent to streamline refuse and recycling services under a supplier already established within the community.
