The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Base Support Branch, intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price commercial purchase order to American Interiors Inc for the design, delivery, and installation of modular systems furniture at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Facility 10856, Room W220. The requirement is for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and consists of four Herman Miller Canvas Office Landscape stackable panel systems and several TU Series metal storage cases. This specific brand and series are required to ensure seamless physical and electrical integration with existing furniture and to maintain UL electrical safety certifications. While APG Office Furnishings Inc is the primary authorized dealer for the area, they were unable to meet government requirements due to a lack of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1, leading to the selection of American Interiors Inc as the sole alternate authorized dealer. The project is a Contractor Furnished Contractor Installed effort with a period of performance not to exceed 120 days. The scope includes a two-phase installation process involving workstation frames, electrical harnesses, and final components, as well as the provision of 2D floor plans and 3D images. All work must comply with the National Electrical Code and National Life Safety Code. Final payment is contingent upon the completion of all contract requirements and the resolution of all punch list items, with no partial payments allowed. The procurement falls under NAICS code 337214 for Office Furniture Manufacturing, and the government is utilizing a sole source justification to bypass competitive bidding based on the proprietary nature of the required furniture.
