Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure and enter into a firm-fixed-price contract with Altorfer Inc. of Davenport, IA, for the purchase of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) repair parts for a Caterpillar (CAT) 329DL Excavator.

This procurement is being conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with RFO FAR 12.102(a).

The Mississippi River Project Office (MRPO) requires genuine OEM components to overhaul the CAT 329DL Excavator tracks to standardize and streamline maintenance across its heavy equipment fleet.
