Full Description

The General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service, National Capital Region intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis under FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to The University of Chicago on behalf of its Center for Research in Security Prices at Chicago Booth. The period of performance for this contract is a one (1) year base period with four (4) 1 year option periods. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Project Description: Ginnie Mae's Office of Enterprise Risk has a requirement for a five-year subscription for the CRSP 1925 US Stock Database and the 1925 US Treasury Database. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses are due by 06/16/2017 2:00 pm EST. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at Daniel.r.miller@gsa.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, GSA will proceed with the sole source task order with The University of Chicago on behalf of its Center for Research in Security Prices at Chicago Booth as noted herein. Costs associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government.
