The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Specialized Contracting Division (PKS) intends to issue a sole source contract for continuation of services to American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). This award is to provide support to the government for the Period of Performance 1 Jun 14 - 30 Nov 14. ASEE is currently managing the Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) which includes advertising and promotion, recruiting faculty members and students annually with specializations in Science, Mathematics, and Air Force relevant Engineering disciplines to perform research at Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL), the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and Air Force Test and Evaluation (AF T&E) Centers. The anticipated SFFP contract is a short-term follow-on to contract FA9550-09-C-0114, administered by AFOSR/PKS. The government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). The new SFFP contract will be competed and AFOSR anticipates award by 1 Dec 14. This is not a request for competitive proposals.
