The Securities and Exchange Commission plans to issue a Request for Proposals to secure contractors for developing interactive data taxonomies and related materials, such as user documentation, technical guides, testing routines, and implementation instructions. The contract will also cover the construction and delivery of necessary technical infrastructure, including computer hardware, system software, connectivity, and the publication and hosting of taxonomies to support the Commission's interactive data initiatives. The Commission intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, potentially to multiple contractors, each of whom will have a fair opportunity to compete for task orders. The IDIQ contract will feature a 12-month base period followed by three 12-month option periods. The initial Statement of Work for Task Order 0001 will be released alongside the IDIQ contract's SOW on the Federal Business Opportunities website once the formal RFP is issued, which is anticipated around early September 2009.
