The contract seeks a wireless point-to-point and WiFi-capable intercom and mass notification system to serve 20 laboratories, offices, and chemical storage buildings within a 200-acre research complex. The system must integrate speaker call stations, both indoor and outdoor IP and standard speakers, and amplifiers, with some speakers designed to meet explosive environment (EX) ratings. A key challenge involves connecting newly constructed buildings with facilities over 40 years old while ensuring the intercom includes an announcement delay feature to avoid feedback and remains fully expandable to accommodate future needs. Interested vendors are requested to provide detailed information about their proposed system, company details, CAGE code, business size standards, and a rough order of magnitude estimate. This request is part of market research to determine whether the effort can be set aside for small businesses, although no set aside is currently applied. Responses are limited to two pages and must be submitted by the May 21, 2026 deadline. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense’s AFRL Rwk office, with performance expected in Goulds, Florida. The primary point of contact for the solicitation is Jane Ellison, Contracting Officer.
