U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award to Dupont Qualicon a Purchase Order for the procurement of RiboPrinter System EcoRI, Pvull Batch Kits, RiboPrinter System Batch Kit (without enzyme), RiboPrinter gel cassettes, membrane s and Sample Preparation Pack. DuPont holds 10 patents covering the technology used in the instrument. No other source will be attempting to provide reagents in the near future due to the patent coverage. This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement under the authori ty of FAR 6.302-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, statements of capability to fulfill this requirement received from other responsible businesses prior to close of business on 12 August 2005 will be evaluated.
