ITB BOSTWICK WATER LINE REPLACEMENT

The City of Bostwick is soliciting bids for the replacement of the Bostwick water line along SR 83 in Georgia, based on plans dated June 1, 2026. The scope of work includes the installation of 8-inch, 6-inch, and 1-1/2-inch PVC water mains, the use of jack-and-bore methods for 16-inch steel casing, and the connection of all existing meters and services to the new main. The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, traffic control, and site restoration, including the handling and disposal of potential asbestos-containing materials. Work must comply with AWWA, Georgia, and GSWCC standards, and a GSWCC Level I card holder must be present during land disturbing activities. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who is properly licensed and qualified to work within GDOT right-of-way requirements. Bidders must provide references for three similar-sized projects completed within the last five years. Submission requirements include two physical copies and one digital copy on a flash drive, delivered in person to Bostwick City Hall by October 22, 2026, following a mandatory pre-bid meeting on October 1, 2026. A 5% bid bond is required at submission, with a 100% payment and performance bond required upon award. Financial and administrative terms include monthly invoicing with a 10% retainage and a limit of 40% of the contract value for stored materials. Insurance requirements specify minimum limits of 1 million dollars for Comprehensive General Liability and Auto insurance, and 500,000 dollars for Employers Liability. Performance is restricted to hours between 7:00 AM and sundown unless otherwise directed. Contractors must also provide an E-Verify Affidavit and ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
